Cancer Wellness

The Cancer Wellness Center in Northbrook, IL offers free services, wellness and educational programming, and a sense of community to those facing cancer together with their families. Classes, workshops and counseling as well as an extensive library of resources are all available to these individuals and their families.
The first Stay Strong and Mahj On event in May 2015 raised over $15,000 to benefit the Cancer Wellness Center.
Our second annal event in June 2016 raised $13,000 for CWC.


Mah Jongg and Me


Ann Israel is the co-author of the book, Mah Jongg: The Art of the Game and blogs daily on the subject. She is a widely-known Mah Jongg expert, teacher and collector. Her love affair with everything Mah Jongg began when she began taking lessons after touring a Mah Jongg exhibit, “Project Mah Jongg” at the Museum of Jewish Heritage. Ann resides in NYC.

Sharsheret high res logo

Sharsheret is a national not-for-profit organization supporting young Jewish women facing breast cancer together with their families. They offer a community of support to women, of Jewish backgrounds, diagnosed with breast cancer or at increased genetic risk, by fostering culturally-relevant individualized connections with networks of peers, health professionals, and related resources.
With a successful New York City event in April 2016, we raised $15,000 which was allocated to support their outreach and education programs.

MJ Mentor

MahJonggMentor is a learning resource created for all levels of Mah Jongg players: beginner, intermediate and advanced. Their website strives to make learning and playing the game more fun and provides strategies to improve players’ skills with “easy to follow” videos, FAQs , etiquette suggestions, on-line community and of course video lessons for the beginner.
